Step into a pivotal role supporting surgical procedures as an Operating Room Technician. Working within a dynamic surgical department, youll play a key part in ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient operations during each procedure. Your expertise and attention to detail will directly support optimal patient care and surgical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room by setting up and maintaining a sterile field for surgical cases.
- Assist surgeons by retracting tissues, passing instruments and supplies, and delivering medications as needed throughout procedures.
- Ensure all technical aspects of the operating room are managed, including the readiness of instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Support various functions related to intraoperative patient care, contributing to a comprehensive surgery department.
- Maintain meticulous records and adhere strictly to surgical protocols and safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with the surgical team to provide seamless patient care from case setup through completion of procedures.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency as an ORT (Operating Room Technician).
- Familiarity with all aspects of perioperative services, with a focus on intraoperative support.
- Solid understanding of sterile techniques and operative procedures in a hospital setting.
- Strong ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with surgical staff.
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and the surgical team in a fast-paced environment.
