Job Description

This opportunity is ideal for Surgical Technologists with a strong background in cardiac operating rooms. You will be part of a specialized team caring for complex adult cardiac patients undergoing procedures such as CABG, TAVI, VAD implantation, ECMO, artificial heart support, and heart transplants. The role demands technical expertise in preparing and managing surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies while ensuring strict adherence to sterile technique and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include assisting the surgical team by scrubbing and circulating during operations, handling surgical counts in line with hospital policies, and supporting the preparation and turnover of the OR between cases. You will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:

  • NBSTSA Certification or a minimum of 10 years experience as a Surgical Technician
  • At least 2 years of recent experience in a cardiac operating room
  • Ability to scrub and circulate effectively during cardiac surgeries
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
