This travel opportunity is designed for a skilled Surgical Technologist Certified, who will work under the guidance of a registered nurse. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting the perioperative team, ensuring safe, culturally aware, and age-appropriate patient care within moderate to high acuity surgical caseswith opportunities to step up to even more complex procedures.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Call or late coverage may be required based on facility needs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist
  • Experience in nursing or operating room technology (ORT)
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, surgical instrumentation, and equipment
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team
  • Capability to efficiently organize surgical plans
  • Mentorship, precepting, or training experience is a plus
  • Commitment to patient safety and maintaining a sterile environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the operative suite and surgical field to maximize patient safety
  • Gather necessary instruments and supplies for each procedure
  • Assist as a surgical team member (not as a certified surgical first assistant)
  • Initiate discussions on surgical plans with team members
  • Troubleshoot and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
  • Support inventory, ordering, and stocking responsibilities in OR and perioperative areas
  • Monitor adherence to Joint Commission standards at all times
  • Contribute to continuous performance improvement initiatives
