Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
  • Assist surgical team members during operations by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic techniques throughout all procedures
  • Anticipate the needs of surgeons and nursing staff during cases
  • Ensure proper handling and care of surgical specimens
  • Clean and restock operating rooms following procedures, preparing them for subsequent cases
  • Collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff to support efficient workflow and patient safety

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in an operating room or perioperative setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and infection control standards
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, collaborative team environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during the shift
