Job Description

Advance your surgical nursing career by taking on an essential role as a Certified Surgical Technologist supporting a dynamic perioperative team. Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM)
  • Includes night and weekend call coverage

Qualifications:

  • Valid DORA (Department of Regulatory Agencies) registration
  • Certification from NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting)
  • Proven experience as a Surgical Technologist in the operating room
  • Previous exposure to transplant and/or spine surgery procedures is highly preferred
  • Strong team collaboration skills and adaptability to fast-paced environments
  • Ability to handle call coverage, including nights and weekends

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the surgical team by preparing operating rooms for procedures and ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use
  • Assist surgeons, registered nurses, and anesthesiologists during surgeries, focusing on complex cases related to transplant and spine surgical specialties
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control standards
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond effectively under pressure
  • Communicate promptly and clearly to facilitate efficient, quality patient care
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond quickly when off-site coverage is needed
