Job Description
A nursing professional with expertise in Operating Room Technician (ORT) skills is needed to provide focused patient care and essential unit support within a busy operating room environment. This contract position centers on delivering safe, high-quality care and supporting surgical teams by anticipating needs during procedures and maintaining compliance with established healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consistently adhere to healthcare practices, policies, and ethical standards, prioritizing patient safety and professional conduct.
- Maintain and update all required licensing, certifications, and mandatory regulatory training within designated timelines.
- Provide quality care by anticipating and assisting with patient needs during surgical procedures, including dressing and cast applications.
- Follow physician preference cards accurately when preparing cases and demonstrate independence in task completion.
- Document and communicate vital procedural data, including counts of instruments and supplies, ensuring compliance with count policies.
- Proactively identify and address operational challenges, contribute suggestions for process improvements, and participate in educational activities.
- Accept flexibility in shift assignments, including additional or alternative shifts as needed.
- Take responsibility for designated departmental tasks beyond routine duties, supporting overall unit function and efficiency.

- Valid nursing credentials with experience in operating room procedures and patient care.
- Knowledge of surgical instrumentation, supply management, and infection control practices.
