Job Description

In this contract opportunity, you'll play a pivotal role as a Certified Surgical Technologist, collaborating closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required
  • Previous experience in an operating room, with proficiency in both Scrubbing and Circulating
  • Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile technique, and infection control
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond effectively in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and communication
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile and ready
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and anticipating surgical needs
  • Uphold strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection prevention protocols
  • Perform accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and other materials before, during, and after surgeries
  • Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transport within the surgical suite
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation throughout procedures
  • Stay updated on best practices and technical skills relevant to surgical technology

$1,646 - $1,741/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
