Job Description
Seeking a dedicated and experienced operating room technologist to support surgical teams in a dynamic and well-equipped hospital environment. This contract opportunity features 12-hour day shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM, incorporating night and weekend on-call responsibilities. Candidates who have previous experience assisting with transplant or spine cases are highly encouraged to apply.
Schedule:
- 12-hour day shifts (7 AM 7 PM)
- Includes night and weekend on-call rotation
Qualifications:
- Current licensure/certification with both DORA (Division of Professions and Occupations Registration) and NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) required
- Demonstrated experience in operating room technology, with strong skills in surgical procedures and patient safety
- Exceptional teamwork and communication abilities
- Background working with transplant and/or spine surgeries is preferred
- Ability to manage shift work, including evenings and weekends on-call
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile fields before, during, and after procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, RNs, and anesthesia providers to ensure optimal patient care
- Support transplant and spine cases by anticipating the needs of the surgical team
- Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention and hospital safety protocols
- Monitor and organize supplies and documentation for case completion and compliance
