Experienced nursing professionals with a strong background in operating room technology are invited to consider this rewarding contract opportunity. The position specifically requires expertise supporting Level 1 trauma cases and a demonstrated ability to excel in high-acuity surgical environments.

Schedule & Hours:

• Day shift: 6:45 am 5:15 pm
• Includes on-call responsibilities, holiday coverage, and weekends as scheduled
• No block scheduling available

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of documented experience working in a Level 1 trauma center, clearly outlined in your work history
• Strong ratings on a current skills checklist pertinent to the role
• Demonstrated competency and adaptability within fast-paced, high-intensity OR environments
• Valid, unencumbered nursing credentials for the assigned responsibilities
• Experience handling a variety of urgent operative cases and supporting multi-disciplinary surgical teams

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing the operating room and surgical instruments for trauma and elective procedures
• Maintain rigorous aseptic technique and comply with all safety and infection control protocols
• Provide intraoperative support to surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff
• Respond quickly and efficiently to emergent surgical needs in a Level 1 trauma setting
• Support effective communication and collaboration throughout all phases of perioperative care
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives as required
