This role promises exposure to an impressive variety of surgical procedures, including vascular, neuro, thoracic, robotics, transplant, orthopedics, and more. Working alongside experienced clinical leaders and a well-coordinated team, you'll broaden your skill set and collaborate with healthcare professionals who are dedicated to achieving excellent patient outcomes.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Orientation includes 3 days (06:3019:00), 4 days (06:3017:00), or 3 days (10:3023:00)
  • Weekend rotations as needed
  • On-call required, with a 40-minute response expectation
  • Holiday coverage and scheduled cycles set in 6-week increments (NM approval required for time off)
  • Relieving other staff for lunch breaks within OR as needed

Desired Experience:

  • At least 2 years of recent relevant OR nursing or OR Tech experience required
  • Previous travel healthcare experience preferred (first-time travelers not accepted for this assignment)
  • Registered Nurse: BLS, circulating experience, Foley catheter, chest tube management, AED experience
  • OR Tech: BLS, CST, scrub proficiency in advanced surgical cases
  • Robotics (DaVinci D5) experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and scrub for a diverse range of cases (robotics, neuro, vascular, ortho, and more)
  • Manage specialized surgical equipment and medication dispensing (EMR: Cerner; IV Pumps: Plum ICU Medical; Med dispensing: Omnicell)
  • Collaborate with assigned staff for optimum patient safety
  • Support the department as needed, including floating for lunch coverage within the OR
