An opportunity is available for experienced surgical technologists specializing in operating room trauma, ortho, and general surgery to contribute to a Level 1 trauma center environment. This contract position is located in Cortland, NY, offering evening shift work in a well-regarded acute care facility known for its adult surgical specialties.

Schedule:

• Mix of 4 eight-hour shifts and 4 twelve-hour shifts
• Shift times vary: 07:00-15:30, 11:00-19:30, 15:00-23:30, 07:00-19:30, 11:00-23:30

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide surgical tech support across multiple specialties including trauma, orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, vascular, and gynecology cases
• Work within an adult operating room setting in a fast-paced, high-acuity Level 1 trauma center
• Maintain sterile field and prepare necessary surgical instruments and equipment
• Collaborate professionally with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and procedural efficiency

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years recent surgical technologist experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center or similar acute care facility within the last four years
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential required
• Proficient in scrub techniques across general and specialty surgeries including trauma, ortho, neurosurgery, vascular, ENT, bariatrics, GU, and gynecology
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• No history of professional license or certification suspension or investigations
• Able to pass pre-employment health clearance
• Requires minimal supervision and orientation to function effectively in a high-acuity surgical environment
