Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (ORT) required
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program
• Recent experience working in a hospital operating room environment
• Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols
• Proficient in anticipating surgeon and procedural needs
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time hours
• Rotating shifts, including occasional on-call or evening coverage

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment and supplies for each surgical procedure
• Ensure all instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use according to established protocols
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures
• Pass instruments, sponges, and other items to surgeons during operations
• Manage and account for surgical instruments, sharps, and supplies throughout the procedure
• Support safe and efficient patient care by collaborating with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia providers
• Decontaminate, clean, and restock operating rooms between cases
