Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or strong experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT)
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology or Nursing program
- Current BLS certification required
- Previous clinical experience in an acute care surgical environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and operation room protocols
- Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and maintain composure in high-pressure situations
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery by ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and functional
- Assist surgical teams throughout procedures by passing instruments, handling supplies, and maintaining aseptic technique
- Account for surgical instruments and sponges before, during, and after procedures
- Support the surgical team with room turnover and patient positioning
- Monitor environmental conditions and troubleshoot equipment as needed
- Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons to promote patient safety

$1,369 - $1,498/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
