An opportunity is available for a skilled professional with expertise in Operating Room Technology (ORT) to work in a dynamic surgical environment. This travel position is based in Burnsville, MN, offering a blend of orthopedic and specialty surgical cases. The role requires versatility, technical proficiency, and commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in orthopedic surgical procedures including total joint replacements and trauma cases.
- Support specialty surgeries such as neuro, peripheral vascular, and cardiovascular interventions.
- Utilize EPIC and DaVinci systems effectively within the OR setting.
- Maintain compliance with sterile techniques and safety protocols.
- Float within the OR departments as needed, contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Adhere to scheduled shifts with start times ranging between 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
- Participate in weekend and holiday shifts as required.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
- Active NBSTSA or NCCT certification at the time of application.
- Comprehensive knowledge of general OR skills and orthopedic procedures.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records and DaVinci surgical systems.
- Ability to manage a variety of cases including ortho trauma, total joint support, neuro, peripheral vascular, and cardiovascular.
Schedule:
- 10-hour shifts; start times vary (07:00, 09:00, 11:00, 13:00, 15:00)
- Weekend and holiday availability as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
