Job Description

An experienced Surgical Technician with a minimum of two years specializing in Neuro and ENT surgeries is needed for a contract assignment in Brookfield, WI. The ideal candidate must demonstrate expertise in neuro-related procedures such as craniotomies, external ventricular drains (EVD), and spinal surgeries. This role requires a strong background in Neuro cases and familiarity with advanced surgical techniques.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in Neuro/ENT surgical cases with proficiency in crani, EVD, spine, and related procedures
  • Supporting a variety of surgeries including orthopedic, general oncology, gynecology, laparoscopic, vascular, genitourinary, and robotic surgeries (with focus on Neuro/ENT specialty)
  • Collaborating with charge nurses, leads, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations
  • Utilizing EPIC, Alaris, and Pyxis systems for patient care and instrumentation management
  • Complying with hospital protocol for sterile techniques and patient safety
  • Participating in orientation and following scheduled variable start times, typically between 5:30 AM and 7:00 AM

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years experience as a Surgical Technician in Neuro/ENT specialty
  • Strong knowledge of Neuro surgical procedures such as craniotomies, EVD placement, and spine surgeries
  • BLS certification with ORT credentials; First Assist with verified skills checklist preferred
  • Experience working with diverse patient types including trauma, orthopedic, oncology, and robotic surgery cases
  • Ability to respond within 30 minutes if on call
  • Familiarity with EPIC charting system preferred
