A specialized surgical technologist role is available for a professional with expertise in cardiovascular operating room procedures. This position requires rigorous compliance with formal education and certification standards to ensure the highest quality patient care in complex cardiac surgeries.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must possess a Technical diploma from accredited CST training; on-the-job CST training is not accepted.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with NBSTSA certification.
• Minimum of 2 years experience specifically in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac surgery procedures, aseptic technique, universal protocol adherence (timeout), and specimen labeling/handling.
• Knowledgeable in radiation, laser, and fire safety protocols.
• Skilled in sterilization and disinfection processes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide scrub support during complex CVOR procedures.
• Maintain strict compliance with established surgical protocols and safety standards.
• Assist with radiation, laser, and fire safety measures in the operating suite.
• Ensure proper sterilization and disinfection of instruments and surgical site.
• Participate in every third weekend rotation and respond to call duties two nights per week.

Schedule and Hours:

• Day shift, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts from 06:00 to 14:30.
