A dynamic healthcare setting is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional with expertise in Operating Room Technology (Nursing - ORT) and Certified Surgical Technology. This contract opportunity requires a candidate who thrives in fast-paced surgical environments and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent
• Demonstrated proficiency in operating room protocols and sterile field maintenance
• Experience assisting with surgical instrumentation and supply preparation
• Strong understanding of infection control practices and safety standards
• Ability to work collaboratively with surgical teams, including physicians, nurses, and other support staff
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• High attention to detail, even under pressure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies are properly sterilized and organized
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures, anticipating instrument and supply needs
• Maintain sterility and adherence to aseptic techniques throughout each procedure
• Monitor patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgeries
• Participate in preoperative and postoperative room turnover and restocking
• Accurately document procedures, equipment usage, and any incidents per healthcare regulations
• Communicate effectively with the perioperative team to ensure seamless surgical workflow
