This opportunity seeks a dedicated professional possessing strong skills as a Nursing Operating Room Technician or Certified Surgical Technologist. In this dynamic role, you will support surgeons and nursing staff throughout a variety of operative proceduresensuring patient safety and exceptional outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or training/experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT)
- Proven experience assisting in operating rooms, handling surgical instruments, and maintaining sterile fields
- Solid understanding of surgical procedures, infection control, and medical terminology
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in demanding, fast-paced environments
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies according to scheduled procedures
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons during procedures, passing instruments and supplies efficiently
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic and sterile techniques
- Assist with patient positioning, draping, and preparation before surgery
- Collaborate closely with the surgical, nursing, and anesthesia teams to support optimal patient care
- Monitor instruments and equipment, ensuring everything is properly accounted for and functioning
- Support postoperative room turnover and restocking for upcoming cases
