Schedule:

  • Travel nursing assignment (schedule details provided in interview)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the integrity of a sterile surgical field, provide necessary instrumentation, and back the operative team under RN supervision.
  • Apply expert knowledge in sterile and aseptic technique alongside surgical procedure fundamentals.
  • Monitor and secure all surgical packaging, instrument sterilization, and manage expiration dates/integrity checks.
  • Ensure a safe operating room environment and assist in equipment management, patient transport, room turnovers, and preparation.
  • Remain attentive to the sterile field, initiating corrective action as needed and communicating effectively in perioperative briefings and debriefings.
  • Participate actively in patient care across the neonatal to geriatric spectrum.
  • Pursue professional growth by staying current with new procedures, instrumentation, and technology.
  • Model professional conduct in accordance with organizational values, safety management, and behavioral standards.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Certified or Licensed Surgical Technologist program.
  • Licensed as a Surgical Technologist in Colorado.
  • BLS certification by the American Heart Association (current or ability to obtain).
  • Proficiency in English communication and basic computer skills (to be acquired within 90 days if not currently held).
  • Experience caring for diverse age groups preferred.
