An opportunity is available for a Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician (CVOR CST) with a strong background in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures. This position is based in Austin, TX, offering a dynamic environment in a high-volume hospital setting. The role requires a candidate who can confidently perform independently in a fast-paced surgical environment, demonstrating proficiency in all aspects of cardiovascular surgery support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures with precision and efficiency.
  • Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly prepared and maintained for each case.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to provide seamless patient care during operations.
  • Participate in call coverage and support the surgical team after regular business hours and weekends.
  • Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years recent full-time experience as a CVOR CST in a high-volume hospital setting.
  • Proven expertise in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Schedule:

  • Weekend shift: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  • Additional shifts from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. weekdays based on department needs.
  • Participation in call coverage after normal business hours.
