Job Description

A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician (CVOR CST) with a focus on cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures in a fast-paced surgical environment. This contract position is based in Austin, TX, and requires a candidate who can function independently and efficiently from day one.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years recent full-time experience as a CVOR CST in a high-volume hospital setting
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures
  • Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was required
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced surgical environment and work independently without extensive onboarding

Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures with expert proficiency
  • Collaborate closely with surgical teams to ensure smooth and efficient OR operations
  • Participate in call coverage after normal business hours and on weekends, supporting service line needs
  • Adapt to department scheduling requirements, working primarily on weekdays

Schedule / Hours:

  • Typical shifts from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., three days per week, scheduled based on departmental needs at the time of interview
  • Call coverage responsibilities outside regular hours and on weekends

Contract Details:
This is a contract assignment offering the opportunity to engage in a critical role within a high-volume surgical center, ideal for highly skilled CVOR technicians seeking challenging and rewarding assignments.
