Qualifications:

  • Certification as an Operating Room Technician or Surgical Technologist (ORT/CST)
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
  • Prior experience working in an operating room or surgical environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical instrumentation

Schedule/Hours:

  • Flexible shifts available
  • Opportunity for day or evening hours depending on facility needs

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and organized
  • Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during operations
  • Maintain and pass sterile instruments and supplies throughout procedures
  • Monitor and uphold strict compliance with infection control and safety protocols
  • Accurately track surgical items and handle specimens as required
  • Support patient care activities before, during, and after procedures as directed
  • Assist with equipment cleaning and restocking to maintain readiness for the next case
