An exciting opportunity is open for an experienced Operating Room Technician (ORT) with a strong background in Level 1 trauma care. This contract role requires a detail-oriented professional committed to excellence in a high-acuity surgical environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shift: 6:45 am 5:15 pm
• Includes call coverage, holidays, and weekends
• No block scheduling

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of solid experience in a Level 1 trauma setting, specifically listed as such in your work history
• Demonstrated proficiency and strong ratings on a current skills checklist
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress operating room environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Current licensure/certification as required for Nursing - ORT roles

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, arranging equipment, and providing technical support during procedures
• Ensure all instruments, supplies, and equipment are properly prepared and maintained
• Scrub, gown, and glove for surgical procedures, maintaining strict aseptic technique
• Support patient safety and expedite procedures for optimal outcomes in trauma and emergency surgeries
• Work collaboratively with RNs, surgeons, and ancillary staff in a multidisciplinary setting
• Participate in mandatory call shifts, as well as coverage during holidays and weekends
