Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Night and weekend call required
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification from DORA (Division of Professions and Occupations in Colorado)
- Current NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification
- Demonstrated experience supporting transplant or spine procedures is highly desired
- Background in a high-acuity surgical setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist surgeons and staff with safe and efficient patient care before, during, and after surgery
- Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control standards
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supply sets for daily surgical schedules
- Monitor inventory of equipment and surgical instruments, alerting team to needs
- Participate in the care and transport of surgical specimens
- Act as a patient advocate, maintaining confidentiality and supporting overall well-being
