Job Description

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
  • Night and weekend call required

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid certification from DORA (Division of Professions and Occupations in Colorado)
  • Current NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification
  • Demonstrated experience supporting transplant or spine procedures is highly desired
  • Background in a high-acuity surgical setting preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons and staff with safe and efficient patient care before, during, and after surgery
  • Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control standards
  • Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supply sets for daily surgical schedules
  • Monitor inventory of equipment and surgical instruments, alerting team to needs
  • Participate in the care and transport of surgical specimens
  • Act as a patient advocate, maintaining confidentiality and supporting overall well-being
