An outpatient orthopedic role focused on splinting, casting, and wound care is available in Anaheim, CA. This position supports physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants by assisting with the assessment, treatment, and education of orthopedic patients in an outpatient setting. Surgical assistance is not part of the duties.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the assessment and treatment of orthopedic patients under clinical direction.
• Provide patient education on care and use of casts, splints, and orthopedic devices.
• Apply and remove casts, splints, slings, immobilization devices, and traction.
• Support fracture and dislocation reduction procedures.
• Inspect and adjust orthopedic bandages and equipment.
• Assist with wound closure and post-operative dressing management using aseptic techniques.
• Fit and instruct patients on orthopedic equipment such as walkers, crutches, and braces.
• Prepare patients by recording medications and vital signs in medical records.
• Set up exam and procedure rooms according to patient needs.
• Perform designated diagnostic tests as directed by providers.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of outpatient experience with strong orthopedic specialty skills.
• Proven experience in splinting, casting, and wound care.
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC only) required.
• Orthopedic Technologist Certification (OTC) from NBCOT preferred or to be obtained within 180 days.
• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions.
• Prior outpatient orthopedic tech checklist completion preferred.
• Candidates with surgical tech experience and outpatient orthopedic skills considered.
• First-time travelers welcome.

Location: Position is based in Anaheim, CA, near 2400 E Katella Avenue, providing easy access to local amenities and transportation options. Anaheim offers a vibrant community with a mild Southern California climate, making it a great place to live and work.

Schedule:

• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, 5 days per week.
