Essential Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Nursing-ORT or Surgical Technician
• Comprehensive understanding of sterile techniques and maintaining a sterile field
• Proven ability to assist with the setup and breakdown of surgical cases
• Strong familiarity with operating room procedures, instrument handling, and infection control standards
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to efficiently support surgeons and RNs during procedures
• Proactive with a keen sense of responsibility for safety and compliance

Core Responsibilities:

• Prepare surgical cases by ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are in place and sterile
• Support the surgical team by retracting tissue, handing instruments, and managing supplies and medications as directed
• Apply aseptic and sterile techniques consistently to prevent infection
• Maintain accurate inventory and organization of operating room materials
• Communicate effectively with fellow OR staff to optimize workflow and foster a safe surgical environment
• Participate in supply management, ensuring timely availability and readiness of required resources
• Collaborate on intraoperative patient care and contribute to the smooth operation of the departments services
