A leading psychiatric and behavioral health facility is seeking dependable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a 26-week contract assignment. This opportunity involves providing direct clinical care and support to individuals receiving behavioral health and psychiatric treatment within a secure, structured hospital environment. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to patient safety and therapeutic excellence, and feels comfortable engaging with behavioral health populations.
Schedule & Shifts:
- 3648 hours per week, determined by unit needs
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Overtime may be available as needed
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under RN supervision
- Administer medications and treatments in line with facility protocols
- Monitor, document, and report on patient behaviors, vital signs, and condition changes
- Support patient admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Participate in therapeutic programming and structured patient activities
- Ensure safety by adhering to behavioral health protocols
- Communicate updates to nursing leadership and the interdisciplinary team
- Assist in implementing individualized patient care plans
Qualifications:
- Current, active LPN license (meeting state requirements)
- Background in psychiatric, behavioral health, corrections, or long-term care settings preferred
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Crisis intervention training (CPI, MOAB, or equivalent) preferred, or obtained before start
- Ability to pass mandatory background and drug screenings and complete onboarding

$1,290 - $1,360/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
