Exciting opportunities are available for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) seeking to provide high-quality care within a psychiatric and behavioral health setting. This 26-week contract position offers a rewarding experience at a dedicated facility supporting individuals in need of compassionate mental health care.
Schedule:
- 3648 hours per week, based on unit needs
- Day shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Night shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Overtime may be available, depending on facility requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse
- Administer medications and prescribed treatments following clinical protocols
- Monitor, record, and report patient behaviors, vital signs, and any condition changes
- Assist with the admission, discharge, and transfer processes
- Facilitate and support therapeutic programming and patient activities
- Promote patient safety through adherence to behavioral health protocols
- Communicate effectively with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary team members
- Assist with the implementation of individualized patient care plans
Qualifications:
- Active LPN license as required by state regulations
- BLS certification (mandatory)
- Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, corrections, or long-term care preferred
- Crisis intervention training (CPI, MOAB, or equivalent) preferred, or willingness to complete prior to start
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and attend onboarding sessions
