Job Description

Exciting opportunities are available for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) seeking to provide high-quality care within a psychiatric and behavioral health setting. This 26-week contract position offers a rewarding experience at a dedicated facility supporting individuals in need of compassionate mental health care.

Schedule:

  • 3648 hours per week, based on unit needs
  • Day shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
  • Overtime may be available, depending on facility requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse
  • Administer medications and prescribed treatments following clinical protocols
  • Monitor, record, and report patient behaviors, vital signs, and any condition changes
  • Assist with the admission, discharge, and transfer processes
  • Facilitate and support therapeutic programming and patient activities
  • Promote patient safety through adherence to behavioral health protocols
  • Communicate effectively with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary team members
  • Assist with the implementation of individualized patient care plans

Qualifications:

  • Active LPN license as required by state regulations
  • BLS certification (mandatory)
  • Experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, corrections, or long-term care preferred
  • Crisis intervention training (CPI, MOAB, or equivalent) preferred, or willingness to complete prior to start
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and attend onboarding sessions
