Seeking dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a 26-week contract role at a leading psychiatric and behavioral health hospital. This position focuses on providing compassionate care and crucial clinical support for individuals undergoing behavioral health and psychiatric treatment in a secure, structured hospital environment. Preference is given to those with behavioral health, corrections, or long-term care experience, but LPNs with a passion for this population will also be considered.

Schedule/Hours:

• Contract length: 26 weeks
• 3648 hours per week (dependent on unit needs)
• Day shifts: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
• Night shifts: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
• Overtime may be available based on facility needs

Requirements:

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (meet state requirements)
• Previous psychiatric, behavioral health, corrections, or long-term care experience preferred
• Current, valid BLS certification
• Crisis intervention training (CPI, MOAB, or equivalent) preferred, or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Ability to complete all required background and medical screenings as part of onboarding

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care and support under RN supervision
• Administer medications/treatments per hospital protocol
• Monitor, assess, and accurately document patient behaviors and condition changes
• Participate in admissions, discharges, and patient transfers
• Support therapeutic programming and structured activities
• Uphold safety guidelines and participate in maintaining a secure environment
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and the interdisciplinary team
• Assist in implementing personalized care plans

$1,290 - $1,360/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
