Dependable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are needed for a 26-week contract assignment at a psychiatric and behavioral health hospital. This position focuses on direct patient care, medication administration, and providing clinical support to individuals in a structured and secure setting. Schedule & Hours:
- 3648 hours per week, depending on unit needs
- Shift options:
- Days: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
- Nights: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Overtime may be available, subject to facility needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on patient care under RN supervision
- Administer medications and treatments per facility protocols
- Accurately monitor, document, and report patient behaviors and changes in condition
- Support admissions, discharges, and patient transfers
- Participate in therapeutic programming and structured patient activities
- Ensure a safe environment by strictly following behavioral health safety guidelines
- Communicate clearly with nursing leadership and the interdisciplinary team
- Assist in implementing individualized care plans
Qualifications:
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (compliant with applicable state regulations)
- Prefer experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, corrections, or long-term care settings
- Valid BLS certification (required)
- Crisis intervention training (CPI, MOAB, or equivalent) preferred, or must be obtained prior to start
- Ability to meet background and drug screening requirements
