Make a meaningful difference as a school-based healthcare professional supporting a young student near Athens, GA. This contract position is perfect for a compassionate RN or LPN with recent trach experience who enjoys working in an educational environment. Work one-on-one with a 4-year-old student and help promote their wellbeing and classroom participation.
What were seeking:
- Current GA RN or LPN license (required)
- Recent tracheostomy care experience within the last year
- Commitment to a Monday through Friday schedule (40 hours per week)
- Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric patients is a plus
- Calm demeanor, clear communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing attentive, individualized nursing care throughout the school day
- Monitoring, maintaining, and managing trach care for the assigned student
- Ensuring accurate documentation of all care provided and any health-related incidents
- Supporting the students daily classroom activities and encouraging engagement
- Acting as a resource and advocate within the school community for best practices in student health and safety
