Individuals with expertise as a CVOR Tech are needed to provide vital support in a fast-paced clinical environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care in a specialized cardiac operating room setting on a contract basis.

Qualifications:

• Valid certification as a CVOR Tech or Surgical Technologist with demonstrated experience in cardiovascular operating room procedures
• Previous work in a hospital or surgical center environment preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and cardiovascular procedures
• Ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs during procedures
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is a plus
• Flexibility and reliability for shift work as scheduled

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain the cardiovascular operating room for surgical procedures
• Assist surgical teams with cardiac and vascular surgeries, ensuring sterile environments are maintained at all times
• Handle and pass instruments, sponges, and other necessary items during surgery
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists before, during, and after procedures
• Perform instrument counts, monitor equipment function, and maintain detailed documentation as required
• Ensure all supplies and equipment are available and in working order before procedures begin
• Practice standard infection control and safety guidelines at all times
