Job Description

Seeking a skilled professional to fulfill vital duties in a Cardiovascular Operating Room as a CVOR Tech. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic work environment supporting surgical teams and patient care. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in cardiovascular surgical procedures.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour Day shifts

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a CVOR Tech in a hospital or surgical center
  • Current certification or eligibility as a Surgical Technologist/CVOR Tech
  • In-depth understanding of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation specific to cardiovascular procedures
  • Ability to anticipate surgeon needs and respond efficiently during complex cases
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills within high-pressure settings
  • Strong communication abilities and a patient-focused approach
  • Team player who contributes to a collaborative and professional surgical environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms for cardiovascular procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning
  • Assist surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and managing surgical specimens
  • Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control practices to protect patients and staff
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical tools and restock as needed
  • Participate in room turnovers between cases, ensuring readiness for subsequent surgeries
  • Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesiologists while adapting to the needs of each patient
