Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training
- Minimum one year of recent CVOR experience preferred
- Valid national certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST or equivalent)
- Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Highly adaptive with a collaborative approach to team-based care
Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring all tools are sterilized and properly organized
- Assist surgical team members with gowning, gloving, and sterile field maintenance
- Operate and maintain specialized CVOR equipment
- Monitor the patients status and respond quickly to any intraoperative needs
- Facilitate smooth transitions and clear communication between nursing, surgical, and ancillary staff
