Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training
  • Minimum one year of recent CVOR experience preferred
  • Valid national certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST or equivalent)
  • Active BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Highly adaptive with a collaborative approach to team-based care

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare operating rooms for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring all tools are sterilized and properly organized
  • Assist surgical team members with gowning, gloving, and sterile field maintenance
  • Operate and maintain specialized CVOR equipment
  • Monitor the patients status and respond quickly to any intraoperative needs
  • Facilitate smooth transitions and clear communication between nursing, surgical, and ancillary staff
  • Uphold the highest safety and infection control standards
