Schedule/Hours
- Day shifts: (4 ten-hour shifts Monday - Friday, specific days set upon arrival)
- Shift Times: 06:30 17:00
- On-Call: 11 shifts per month (including nights and weekends)
- Must reside at least 100 miles from Reno
Desired Qualifications
- Current, active BLS certification
- NBSTSA certification required
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience as a CVOR surgical technologist, with capability to first and second scrub
- Documented travel healthcare experience
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize supplies, equipment, and instruments for vascular and cardiovascular surgical cases
- Accurately anticipate needs in the surgical field, assist with instrument handling, and support the surgical team during procedures
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold patient privacy at all times
- Set up operating rooms and ensure appropriate surgical counts with the RN according to standards
- Handle positioning, moving, and care of patients before and after procedures, including room turnover and case clean-up
