This position is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CVOR Tech with nursing expertise to broaden their knowledge through collaboration with a diverse clinical team. Qualifications / Experience Sought:
- Current CVOR Tech certification required
- Nursing background with hands-on CVOR experience
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular procedures and sterile techniques
- Ability to function confidently within a multidisciplinary team environment
- BLS certification (required); ACLS (highly preferred)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the cardiovascular operating room and ensure all equipment is functioning optimally
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during a variety of cardiovascular procedures
- Maintain sterile field and ensure the highest standards of patient safety
- Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Perform timely instrument and supply counts, equipment troubleshooting, and documentation
