Job Description

Step into a vital role supporting cardiovascular surgeries as a CVOR Tech. Key Requirements:

  • Valid certification and registration as a CVOR Tech
  • Prior experience assisting in cardiovascular operating rooms
  • Solid understanding of surgical instrumentation, sterilization techniques, and cardiac OR protocols
  • Ability to anticipate surgeon needs during procedures
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to infection control standards
  • Current BLS certification (additional ACLS preferred)
  • Flexibility to adapt to diverse case loads and workflow demands

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cardiovascular operating rooms and organize necessary supplies and sterile instruments
  • Support surgical teams by passing instruments, sponges, and supplies as needed during cardiac and vascular procedures
  • Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and surgical protocols
  • Monitor and manage sterile fields to ensure patient safety
  • Assist with patient positioning and prepping under the direction of surgical staff
  • Collaborate closely with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia providers to ensure efficient workflow
  • Handle post-procedure clean-up and proper equipment disposal
