Job Description

A skilled CVOR Tech with strong surgical technology expertise and open-heart experience is sought for a contract position in New Lexington, OH. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment, supporting cardiovascular operating room procedures as well as general surgery when volumes are low. The position is full-time, with flexible scheduling options aligned to your preference.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred but not mandatory
  • Minimum of 2 years current or recent Open-Heart surgical experience
  • Strong critical thinking ability and proficiency with central processing and surgical instrumentation
  • Willingness to float to General Surgery as needed
  • Ability to take 2-3 call days per week, including weekends and potential holiday call rotation

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the surgical team in cardiovascular procedures with precision and safety
  • Prepare and maintain sterile environments and surgical instrumentation
  • Provide backup support in general surgery cases during low CVOR volume periods
  • Participate in weekend and holiday call rotations as scheduled
  • Adhere strictly to facility standards, including scheduling and requested time off policies

Schedule/Hours:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Option to work four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts (6 a.m. 2:30 p.m.), based on preference
  • Call duties 2-3 days per week including weekend and possible holiday coverage

Additional Information: This contract role requires alignment with specific contract terms, including identical start/end dates and requested time off disclosure. Compliance with facility vendor standards is mandatory.
