Support cardiac surgical procedures as a skilled CVOR Tech in New Concord, OH. This contract opportunity offers a critical role in a busy surgical environment, combining specialized Open-Heart experience with flexibility in scheduling to meet facility needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment for cardiovascular operations.
• Assist the surgical team during open-heart procedures, ensuring aseptic technique and safety.
• Float to General Surgery when CVOR case volume is low, providing versatile surgical support.
• Participate in a call schedule, covering at least 2-3 days per week, including weekend and possible holiday rotations.
• Apply critical thinking to manage central processing challenges and instrumentation issues.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years recent or current open-heart surgical experience.
• Strong knowledge of central processing and surgical instrumentation.
• Ability to adapt to fluctuating call demands and varied shift hours.

Schedule & Hours:

• 40 hours per week.
• Choose between four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• On-call requirements typically include weekend coverage starting after Fridays shift through Monday at 7:00 a.m.
• Possible holiday call rotations depending on scheduling needs.
