Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting
• In-depth understanding of sterile technique and CVOR procedures
• Proficient in operating and maintaining cardiovascular surgical equipment
• Strong communication and critical thinking abilities
• BLS certification required

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cardiovascular operating rooms and maintain a sterile environment
• Assist surgeons with complex cardiac and vascular procedures
• Ensure instruments and supplies are present, functioning, and ready
• Handle, pass, and account for surgical instruments during procedures
• Monitor patient safety and adhere to infection control practices
• Maintain accurate counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments
• Support surgical team members throughout procedures as needed
• Participate in room turnover and postoperative care setup
