Job Description

Schedule:

  • 12-hour day shifts

Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a CVOR Tech or in a similar surgical technologist role
  • Proficiency with sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and cardiovascular operating room protocols
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credentials preferred
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular procedures
  • Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and maintain composure in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and commitment to patient safety
  • Collaborative communication skills for effective teamwork with surgeons, nurses, and support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields before and during cardiovascular procedures
  • Assist in positioning and draping patients according to CVOR protocol
  • Set up instrumentation, equipment, and supplies for each procedure
  • Hand instruments and assist surgeons as needed throughout procedures
  • Monitor, handle, and document specimens appropriately
  • Uphold strict infection control and safety standards
  • Ensure timely cleanup and restocking of the operating suite
