A specialized opportunity is available for an experienced CVOR Tech to contribute expertise in cardiovascular operating room procedures. This contract position is based in La Porte, IN, and involves supporting a busy surgical environment that demands precision, reliability, and technical skill.
Responsibilities include assisting surgical teams in cardiovascular operations, preparing and maintaining CVOR equipment, ensuring sterility and proper functioning of all instruments, and monitoring patient vitals during procedures. The role requires readiness to provide on-call support approximately 14 days per month CST, to respond promptly to urgent surgical needs.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Proven experience as a CVOR Tech in a cardiovascular surgical setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cardiovascular surgical equipment and protocols.
- Ability to perform rapid equipment set-ups for surgeries.
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and infection control.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with surgical teams.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent CVOR credential preferred.
