Job Description
A specialized opportunity is available for a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) technician experienced in cardiac surgeries. This contract position offers a chance to contribute expertise in a high-acuity, level 1 trauma center setting in a vibrant metropolitan area.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years CVOR experience, specifically in a level 1 trauma center
- Strong recent scrub experience on cardiac surgeries, complemented by previous circulating experience
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to float to Bell OR, Cambridge OR, and SPD as needed
Responsibilities:
- Provide skilled assistance during cardiovascular surgeries ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency
- Perform circulating and scrub duties, maintaining sterile fields and surgical instrumentation
- Engage in call rotations including holidays and approximately one weekend per month
- Adhere to facility protocols including nicotine-free policies and flexible scheduling needs
Schedule and Hours:
- Full-time 40 hours per week
- Shifts available: 8, 10, or 12 hours between 0630 and 1900
- Must be available for call on holidays and weekends as required
