Bring your expertise to an essential role supporting cardiovascular surgery as a CVOR Tech. In this key nursing position, youll collaborate closely with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure procedures run smoothly, efficiently, and with patient safety at the forefront. Your attention to detail and commitment to high standards will be critical in maintaining a safe, organized operating environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current certification as a Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician or equivalent experience
- Previous experience as a CVOR Tech in a high acuity hospital setting
- Proven knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation specific to cardiovascular procedures
- Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team during complex procedures
- Flexibility and composure in a fast-paced environment
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; additional certifications are a plus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Schedule & Hours:
- This is a contract-based position; schedule details to be provided during the interview process
Key Duties:
- Prepare the operating room and instruments for cardiovascular surgeries
- Ensure all equipment is functioning and appropriately sterilized
- Assist the surgical team intraoperatively with instruments, supplies, and support
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and safety procedures
- Accurately handle specimens and maintain documentation as required
- Support post-operative room turnover and readiness for subsequent procedures
