An opportunity is available for a skilled Surgical Technologist Certified with experience in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) settings. This role supports the healthcare team by delivering safe, culturally sensitive, and age-appropriate care in a high-acuity surgical environment. Working under the direction of a registered professional nurse, you will contribute to the success of complex surgical cases with a focus on efficiency, organization, and proactive communication.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operative suite and surgical field, ensuring strict maintenance of sterile environments and patient safety protocols
• Anticipate and gather instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary for surgical procedures
• Assist surgeons during operations, supporting moderate to high acuity cases and stepping up as needed for more complex surgeries
• Help troubleshoot instrument and equipment issues promptly
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory standards such as Joint Commission requirements
• Assist in inventory, stocking, and ordering for the operating rooms and perioperative areas
• Mentor, precept, or train colleagues across various surgical modalities
• Provide on-call or late coverage when needed

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Certified Surgical Technologist credential with specific CVOR experience
• Ability to manage moderate to high acuity surgical cases effectively
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to anticipate surgical team needs
• Knowledge of surgical instruments, equipment troubleshooting, and inventory management
