Qualifications & Experience:

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required
• Proven experience specializing in cardiovascular operating rooms
• Thorough understanding of CVOR procedures, instrumentation, and sterile techniques
• Ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs during cardiac surgeries
• Strong communication and collaborative skills to work efficiently under pressure
• Current BLS certification

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating room supplies, instruments, and equipment for CVOR cases
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique before, during, and after procedures
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide necessary support throughout cardiac surgeries
• Handle instruments, supplies, and specimens conscientiously and accurately
• Assist with room turnover and maintain equipment between cases
• Document appropriately in accordance with policies and procedures
• Uphold rigorous infection control and patient safety standards at all times
