Job Description

This opportunity calls for a skilled CVOR Technician to provide exceptional perioperative support in a dynamic surgical setting. The role involves collaborating closely with surgeons and nursing staff to ensure seamless operative and invasive procedures, primarily acting as a scrub assistant while utilizing specialized equipment and instrumentation within the cardiovascular operating room.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians during cardiovascular surgeries by preparing and handling surgical instruments
  • Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and surgical protocols
  • Operate and manage specialized cardiovascular OR equipment effectively
  • Support the Registered Nurse and function according to the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory
  • Serve as a resource and mentor to junior staff by demonstrating expert knowledge and professional conduct

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • Experience in cardiovascular operating room environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of surgical procedures, instruments, and safety standards
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Schedule:

  • 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM shift with on-call rotation
