Travel CVOR Surgical Tech Charlotte, NC
12-Hour Day Shifts | 13-Week Assignment | First-Time Travelers Welcome
We are seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Tech for an exciting travel opportunity in Charlotte, North Carolina. Join a high-performing surgical team in a busy OR environment supporting complex cardiothoracic, vascular, thoracic, and robotic procedures at a respected acute care facility.
Assignment Details:
Location: Charlotte, NC
Shift: 12-Hour Days
Schedule: 0700 1900
36 hours per week
Call Required
First-time travelers accepted
Call Requirements:
45 weeknight calls per 6-week schedule
Typically between 5:00 PM 7:00 AM
12 weekend call rotations per 6-week schedule
Friday evening through Monday morning coverage
Holidays covered on rotating call schedule
CVOR Case Types:
CABG
AVR / MVR
Mini Mitral procedures
Septal myomectomy
Vascular bypass procedures
Carotid and femoral endarterectomy
TCAR procedures
Thoracic surgeries including VATS, robotic resections, and lobectomies
Main OR Exposure Includes:
Orthopedic
Spine
General surgery
Urology
Robotic surgery
GYN
Colon
Breast
Plastics
Podiatry
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of recent OR/CVOR Surgical Tech experience
Strong recent experience with CABG, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic cases required
BLS certification required
Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program required prior to start
National Surgical Tech certification preferred
Skills & Experience Needed:
Ability to scrub complex cardiothoracic and vascular procedures independently
Experience assisting in orthopedic, robotic, spine, general, and specialty surgeries
Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume OR setting
Technology & Equipment:
EMR: EPIC
IV Pumps: Alaris
Medication Dispensing: Omnicell
Monitors: Phillips
Department Support:
Charge Nurse support
OR Assistants available weekdays
Dedicated anesthesia/CRNA coverage 24/7
Receptionist/HUC support staff
Orientation:
Main OR: 1 week
CVOR: 2 weeks
Orientation consists of five 8-hour shifts
