Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a experienced CVOR Technician to provide critical support in a surgical environment. This role focuses on assisting cardiovascular surgeons and their teams by preparing and maintaining the cardiovascular operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are ready for complex procedures. The position is a contract assignment located in Center, ND, offering exposure to specialized cardiovascular care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the cardiovascular operating room before, during, and after surgeries.
  • Assist the surgical team by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment required for cardiovascular procedures.
  • Maintain sterile fields and ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to promote efficient patient care.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician or in a similar CVOR role.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile techniques.
  • Certification in perioperative nursing or surgical technology preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
