Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift: Four ten-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (specific days set upon arrival)
- Shift Times: 6:30 AM 5:00 PM
- On-Call: 11 shifts per month (includes nights & weekends)
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
Qualifications:
- Current BLS certification
- NBSTSA certification mandatory
- Completion of a surgical technologist program
- Minimum 2 years experience as a CVOR surgical technologist, with proven first and second scrub skills
- Prior travel experience required
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for cases
- Anticipate team needs, passing instruments with precision to maintain procedure flow
- Assist with patient positioning, transport, and room turnovers
- Conduct counts of instruments, sponges, and sharps with the RN per department standards
- Maintain strict confidentiality, protecting patient privacy and upholding ethical standards
