Schedule/Hours:

  • Day shift: Four ten-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (specific days set upon arrival)
  • Shift Times: 6:30 AM 5:00 PM
  • On-Call: 11 shifts per month (includes nights & weekends)
  • Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility

Qualifications:

  • Current BLS certification
  • NBSTSA certification mandatory
  • Completion of a surgical technologist program
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a CVOR surgical technologist, with proven first and second scrub skills
  • Prior travel experience required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for cases
  • Anticipate team needs, passing instruments with precision to maintain procedure flow
  • Assist with patient positioning, transport, and room turnovers
  • Conduct counts of instruments, sponges, and sharps with the RN per department standards
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, protecting patient privacy and upholding ethical standards
